Yusra’s Friends

After an overwhelming response from many kind hearted people around the region (Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Brunei and Guam), we managed to our targeted fund. Hence, with the blessings from our donors, we are going to allocate S$40,000.00 bring our mission further and broader. We are going to help more poor kids with serious illnesses, particularly hydrocephalus.

Learning from this effort, early intervention is the best way to help hydrocephalus patients. The longer we take, the harder for them to recover. When we found Yusra, his case was already very severe. We are going to work very closely with Wisma Kasih Bunda, a group of volunteers who provide shelter, consultation, access to treatments and post-operation therapy, to the poor family in Semarang, Central Java Island of Indonesia.

Hafiz Rests In Peace
Hafiz passed away early April 2010. Based on Mbak Eta one of the main causes is the the pressure of the fluid in Hafiz’s head, which was very high. For the past many weeks, he had gone through regular assisted fluid extraction (they call it “pungsi”) in the clinic/hospital. Mbak Eta also added that the shunt which has been inserted end of November last year and readjusted on January this year through another operation, just could not accommodate the amount of fluid that his brain produced. His condition was just very severe.
