21 and 22 February. It is sad to say only 3 men, 1 boy (12) and 1 woman, the the mother of the boy, participated in this training. But we did our best to train them. Actually, the boy and his mother are experienced coco shell charcoal maker. But they agreed to use YDT’s drum kiln type 6 holes in bottom and top opening like a ring. It makes it easier in closing.

Within 2 days we produced + 250 kg of good coco shell charcoal.

Follow up : the trainee, 4 people from Gampong Garut wanted to make a cooperation and they asked how they can sell it. Linking up with one collector, we agreed to a small pilot project to produce the 1 st 1000 kg using the drum we gave to them. Team 9 will buy it via Mr. Heri, who is posted in Cot Riwat. Our “big dream” is to export 1 container from DURUENG village to Japan (via Medan ) in 3-4 months ahead.
