ACTIVITY
TEAM 9 / Kerabat Desa Kota (KDK) and The Humanity Forum will conduct activities, with and for communities such as:
- providing free medical treatment (6 days)
- organising public kitchens in 3-4 villages
- building tents and simple accommodations for aid and distribution posts (in 3 – 4 sites)
- providing toilets and sanitation facilities (10 units)
- providing clean and healthy water for drinking and cooking
- conducting practical training for livelihood
- providing nutrition and library for local students (3 elementary schools)
- providing training in:
> bread making, coconut oil making
> charcoal making using simple drum kiln
> sewing and handmade embroidery (these are also used as a trauma healing therapy)
TIME
TEAM 9 is committed to serve from 28Sept 2007 till 6 Oct 2007.
During this short visit, TEAM 9 will work closely with local NGOs and churches.
